Each member of the winning team gets a crystal first-place trophy and the first-place team medallion to commemorate their victory. Each winning team member also gets to take home the DuPont Cup for a period of about 4 to 5 weeks.
The tournament Most Valuable Player (MVP) award is the most coveted prize in the tournament. The Most Valuable Player is determined from points scored during the event. Points are earned by a player responsible for winning holes, scoring gross and net birdies, playing at least a certain percentage better than their handicap, and strength of opponents played. Points can be deducted for poor play, including playing a certain percentage worse than their handicap.
The MVP gets the crystal David Ji MVP trophy and the MVP medallion. They also get their name engraved on the MVP championship belt. They get to keep the belt, along with its case, until the following years' draft party. The MVP is awarded free entry into the following years tournament.
The player scoring the most natural birdies in the tournament is the Birdie Champion and wins the crystal Birdie-Champion trophy and the Birdie-Champion medallion. They are also awarded a $200 PGA Superstore gift card. A player must score at least 4 natural birdies to be eligible for this award.
The DuPont Cup is a handicapped event. Each player plays with their entire handicap regardless of their opponent's handicap. A net birdie is a birdie after the handicap is applied. The player scoring the most net birdies is the Net-Birdie Champion and wins the crystal Net-Birdie Champion trophy and the Net-Birdie Champion medallion. They are also awarded a $200 PGA Superstore gift card. A player cannot win both the birdie Champion and Net-Birdie Champion awards. If a player wins both, that player is the Birdie Champion, and the runner-up for the Net-Birdie Champion becomes the Net-Birdie Champion.
There is a putting contest prior to the start of Round 2. The winner of the putting contest is the Putting Champion and wins the crystal Putting-Champion trophy and Putting-Champion medallion. The Putting Champion is also awarded a $200 PGA Superstore gift card.
There is one closest-to-pin hole for each round. A player could win more than one of these awards in a tournament. Each winner gets a crystal Closest-to-Pin trophy and a $100 PGA Superstore gift card.
For a player to win the DuPont Cup Grand Slam they must win MVP, either Birdie Champion or Net-Birdie Champion, Putting Champion, and at least one of the Closest-to-Pin awards. This must be done in one tournament, and not cumulative over several tournaments. Any player winning the grand slam wins a bonus prize of either one round at the Wynn Course, or one Round at each of Cascata, and Serket (formerly Rio Seco).
The DuPont Cup does not have a single designated Hole-in-One prize hole. Instead, every hole is a designated Hole-in-One prize hole. Any player who scores a hole-in-one on any hole is awarded $1000 cash.
The 2026 DuPont Cup Tournament will include a skins game. For those who do choose to play for skins, the cost would be $18 per round that they choose to compete in, of which $1 is applied toward each hole. Players can choose to play one round, two rounds, or all three rounds. The skins game is optional, so players could choose not to play at all. Each hole in a round will be worth the same number of skins and will be determined by the number of players participating in the skins game for that round. Low-net score wins the money for the hole. If only one player scores the low-net score, then that player wins all of the money for that hole. When more than one player tie for low-net score, those players split the money equally. Low-net score must be a net birdie or lower. If no player gets a net-birdie or lower on a particular hole, then the skins from that hole carry over to the following hole, making the following hole worth double. If no player scores a net-birdie or better on the 18th hole, then those skins carry over to the winner of the 1st hole.
